Police Internship Program

Full-time students interested in law enforcement careers will receive valuable experience at a dynamic, independent municipal police department. The internship program offered by the Milford Borough Police Department is managed by the chief of police and the sworn officers.
The experience will include, but will not be limited to, administration, operations, ride-along patrols, communications, special events, records, and investigations. Interns may or may not receive compensation, depending on educational requirements.
Program Requirements
Must be a full-time student from an accredited college or university
Must have a major in criminal justice, public administration, or a law enforcement-related field
Proof of enrollment and letter of referral from the college or university
Background check
Valid Driver’s License (preferred)
Application Procedure
Students must submit, via mail or email, a letter of referral from their accredited college or university, a completed application, and a resume to the Milford Borough Police Department, Attention Chief Matthew McCormack.
The following documentation is also required:
current photo identification
certified copy of your birth certificate
proof of medical/health insurance
